Ernest Evans conosciuto come Chubby Checker è stato un cantautore statunitense, nonché colui che ha inventato il twist. Chubby iniziò nel 1960 facendo Rock and Roll ma poi lanciò un pezzo rock con un ritmo tutto nuovo: “The Twist” che andò molto bene. Anni dopo riprese e ebbe ancor più successo. È molto famoso anche grazie al brano “Let’s Twist Again”.
